Lincoln Hosts Its Annual Art Show
The Art Show at Lincoln School drew many visitors! Art work from first through third grade was displayed throughout the building. Ms. Clossey also created an Eye Spy hunt to challenge families as they explored the galleries. Students left with Kindness Rocks to leave around the community. Each rock was painted by students and then inscribed with an inspirational word. Kindness Rocks were created during the Great Kindness Challenge Week in January. Second Grade Explores Food Chains
The second grade students took an in-house field trip to the Lincoln Woods. Ms. Ogden discussed all food chains begin with the sun and then move to a plant source. Students made chlorophyll rubbings to emphasize this point. Then under Ms. Ogden's guidance, students were placed in cooperative teams to hunt in the Lincoln Woods for herbivores and carnivores. Students placed their collection into a food web. Finally, all teams came together and interlinked the food chains. The students had a fabulous learning experience! Learning about the Titanic
Ms.Risoli’s third grade reading group created projects to end their Titanic thematic unit. Students read informational text before reading Magic Treehouse- Tonight on the Titanic by Mary Pope Osborne. Students learned about historical fiction, non-fiction text features and the history of the Titanic.
