Mmmm…..Chocolate
Ms. Risoli's third grade reading class culminated a thematic unit on chocolate by making their own chocolate candies. Students read The Chocolate Touch by Patrick Skene Catling and Chocolate Fever by Robert Kimmel Smith. Students read these fiction books and compared and contrasted the authors' messages and writing techniques. Ms. Risoli then created hyper-doc lessons to have students read non-fiction materials and view chocolate making in action to complement the unit. Lincoln students have been placing soup cans on the designated table of the football team they want to win Super Bowl LIII.
