Many parents ask me how they can keep their children's skills on grade level over the summer. I strongly encourage parents to have their children do some academic work 30-40 minutes a day five days a week. Parents should not have young learners complete work all at once, but break it into sections. I try to infuse skills into my son's everyday activities. June Events
This was an exciting year at Lincoln! The students planted in the woods, planted bulbs around the school, watched chicks hatch, learned about zest, fairness, bravery, creativity, forgiveness, kindness, and hope. They performed musically and displayed their artistic talents. Students paraded for Halloween and then played on Field Day. Academically, students learned to increase their reading and phonics skills, write imaginative or informational stories, and think mathematically. New Lincoln School Grade 1-3 Parent Orientation
Welcome to Lincoln School! We are excited that you are joining the Lincoln School community. Third Grade End of Year Events
Aladdin Trip:Reminder: June 15th our Gr 3 students will be visiting Broadway to see a performance of Aladdin. We ask that your child dress appropriately (ie, no sweat pants, silky shorts, mesh shorts or jerseys) in accordance with Rutherford 5132-Student Dress Code found on page 14 of the Lincoln School Student & Parent Handbook. Also, students are not to bring any games, cellphones or hand held devices on the bus. Third Grade Bike Safety Program
Reminder that the 3rd grade is participating in a bike safety and riding program on June 6 or June 7th. This program is donated by the Rutherford Green Team.
