Parents will be receiving a report card for their child mid-December. Please be advised that it is a standards based report card. A standard based report card is meant to provide more specific information on how a student is doing in learning a specific skill. It allows parents to know exactly where a student is doing well and what areas are still developing. Highlighting Vocabulary
Students from Mrs. Monochello’s third grade targeted reading class will be announcing a Word of the Day to the school. Students will pick a character trait from their class word list. They will say what the word means, provide the name of a character in a book who has that trait and provide an example of the character displaying that trait. Students will be designing a t-shirt, which will have the character trait, example and the book title. These will be displayed outside Mrs. Monochello’s room. 50th Day of School
50th Day of School- November 20th Students are strongly encouraged to step back in time to 1950! Children will listen to 50s music and learn about inventions of the decade. Parent Visitation Day November 12th
Please come visit your child during the school day. Parents can observe a classroom lesson or interact with their child as they learn a new skill. Your child’s teacher will send home a schedule.
