Ms. Kessler’s first graders worked on expressing their opinions during Writer's Workshop. After reading Hey, Little Ant, the students discussed whether the character in the book would squish the ant OR save the ant. Community 201 Corresponds with Mrs. Smith’s 2011 Class
As part of a writing project, this year’s Community 201 has written letters with words of advice to Mrs. Smith’s former second grade students from 2011. These 2011 students are currently juniors at Rutherford High School. In order to bring this project full circle, Community 201 took a walk to the Rutherford Post Office to mail the letters. On the way back to school, the class stopped at Dairy Queen for a treat. Rutherford Lions Club Vision Screening
Laura O’Connor, Secretary in the IT Department and President of the Rutherford Lions Club, and Jennifer Chayka, Lincoln School Nurse, worked together to do vision screenings for our students using the Spot Vision Screener.
