Lincoln held its annual Field Day! Students in grades 1-3 went to Memorial Field and danced with friends, completed stations and gathered for pizza and ice pops. Our preschoolers enjoyed activities with the assistance of parents in our gymnasium. Character Traits Poster Contest
The School Climate Committee and the Lincoln School PTA sponsored a poster contest for Grades 1-3. Students were to illustrate the character traits discussed this school year. Do you want to learn how to play tag? How to make your bed? Then we have the book for you! Ms. Oddo's class wrote and published their very own class book titled, "We Will Teach You!" Author Visit by Karen Orloff
Karen Orloff, author of I Wanna Iguana, visited Lincoln School on April 6. Mrs. Orloff read several of her stories to the students, as well as explained how an author created a book and it gets published. Ms. Orloff surprised many students when she said she had never met the illustrators of her books, and that she has very little input on the illustrations. Third grade classes participated in an activity to develop ideas for stories.
