Our Citizens of the Month tree in the front hallway of Lincoln School is in full bloom with the monthly positive character trait stars! The year-long character trait initiative concluded in May. The traits reinforced each month were: courage, perseverance, honesty, mindfulness/kindness, gratitude, optimism and open-mindedness. Gr. 2 Community Gardens Yield Delicious Results
This year, Lincoln second graders visited Richfield Farm and Garden Center in Clifton to learn about planting. Each student received a seedling to plant in the two second grade garden plots on the side of the school. Due to a rainy Spring, the gardens grew bountifully. Ms. DeBouter's and Ms. Frietag's students made a huge salad of kale, celery, lettuce, and assorted herbs. Grade 1 Author Celebration
The first graders worked hard learning about informational, nonfiction books in the spring. Then, students chose an animal, researched it, and wrote his or her own animal stories! These stories were compiled into a collaborative class book! What an amazing accomplishment! Ms. Oddo and Mrs. Scelsa’s classes celebrated the arrival of the published books together with an author celebration.

Kindergarteners Visit Lincoln School
Energy radiated throughout the building when K Center kindergarteners visited Lincoln School today!
