Kindergarteners have SUPER POWERS!
Students are becoming SUPER Readers! They have been practicing the following reading SUPER powers: Pointer Power: Tracking words carefully as they read, “point to a word, say a word”. Slider Power: Sliding their fingers under the words to make each sound and blend them together. Snap Word Power: Recognizing high-frequency “heart words” quickly. As part of our Read Across America celebrations, our Kindergarteners stepped into the future! Inspired by the whimsical wisdom of Dr. Seuss, students traded their role as students and an office worker, hairdresser, artist, archeologist and singer walked into a kindergarten classroom. Lilo the Penguin
We were so excited to welcome Jenkinson's Aquarium to the Kindergarten Center! Students were excited to learn how fascinating penguins are but were truly captivated when Lilo, a real-life penguin, made her kindergarten debut!
