Our students engage in meaningful literacy routines, such as hands-on phonics with magnetic letters and discovering rich “Five Star” vocabulary words. These activities go beyond reading, promoting essential skills—collaboration, citizenship, critical thinking, creativity, character, and communication—which are the core competencies of our district’s Profile of a Rutherford Graduate.
