Rutherford High School was once again victorious in the annual Spelling Bee against Becton Regional High School. Over the three-hour competition held on Wednesday, November 27th, students in the National Honor Society dazzled the audience with their spellings of such difficult words as: echelon, surreptitious, genealogical, velociraptor, machination, epicurean, gubernatorial, inquietude, and anticoagulant. State FBLA Winner Announced at Rutherford High School
Rutherford High School senior and FBLA member, Cooper Tormey, under the direction of Ms. Cherryl Bott and Mrs. Judy Leonard, FBLA advisors, competed at the regional level in Advertising where he qualified to compete at the State level. We are excited to announce that he qualified to compete for a national award at the FBLA National Leadership Conference this June in San Antonio, Texas. Updated Graduation Requirements for the Classes of 2019 and 2020
On February 22, 2019, the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) updated the high school graduation assessment requirements in both English Language Arts/Literacy (ELA) and mathematics for the Classes of 2019 and 2020, pursuant to a consent order from the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court.
