I hope everyone enjoyed Field Day, 2020! Mr. Randazzo was around town to see some of our students (and staff!) in action. He put together a fun Slide Show to commemorate the day. You can find it on this webpage. Please take a look. I also hope that all of our students enjoyed our independent learning day on June 3. We will have another independent learning day on June 10. I wanted to update you on a few end of year items as we move towards the last day of school on June 19:
Students’ belongings
Our teachers are coming to school in shifts to clear out their classrooms and gather their students’ belongings. This process is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, June 10. You will receive an email shortly explaining the dates and process for picking up these belongings. Pickup will take place out on the driveway by the playground.
Library Book Returns
Please locate any library books your children may have and plan to return those when you come to pick up your child’s belongings. This will provide us the opportunities to account for, reshelve and repair those books.
Medications
Families who have medications stored with the nurse will be notified via email shortly regarding a schedule for pick-up
CogAT Results
We will be mailing CogAT results to all second grade families on Friday, June 5. If you do not receive your child’s results by June 15, please contact our school office.
Third Grade Activities
While we are unfortunately unable to provide our usual send off activities, we are working with the PTA to celebrate our third grade students. We are planning to have a virtual clap-out on Friday, June 19. Our third graders will receive a few momentos as well. More information will follow soon.
New Parent Orientation
If you know of any parents of Kindergarten students in your neighborhood (or if you will be a first grade parent yourself) please spread the word that I will be posting a New Parent Orientation Slide Show in mid-June.
