Mrs. Minervini’s first graders spent time this week learning about pumpkins. Fictional stories about runaway pumpkins, pumpkin soup, and pumpkin towns, accompanied non-fiction readings on types of pumpkins and their life cycle. Students had the opportunity to make their own pumpkins and practiced labeling the different parts of them.
