The students had quite a busy week! Our yoga instructors visited each class and taught the students some poses and breathing techniques. Students have been using the mindfulness training throughout the day. Students have even been setting an intention for the day when the morning bell rings. Parents are reminded to attended the Mindfulness Parent Training on October 24th at 7 p.m.
Parent and community volunteers assisted students in placing mulch and planting flowers in the woods.
We also received a $1000 towards the purchase of water filling stations. One class representative from each second and third grade attended the Bergen County Utilities Authority Check Presentation Ceremony at Bergen County Community College. We hope the water filling stations decrease our use of disposable water bottles. The Lincoln PTA purchased two filling stations for the school.
Finally, the members of Pierrepont’s Rachel’s Challenge came to visit and left an inspiring note to each student in the building. It was great to see some former Lincoln students giving back!
