The Week of Respect is October 3-7. During the month of October, Lincoln School students will learn about, and celebrate, acts of kindness to others. Students will participate in specific activities to demonstrate respect for each other. Ms. Bregman, our Student Assistance Counselor, will visit classrooms during the month to discuss various topics. Even though NJ designates one week for activities, we continue to emphasize character traits throughout the year to foster positive character development. As shared during Back to School Night, we will develop 7 traits: respect, citizenship, wisdom, kindness, love, self-control, and appreciation of beauty. We also participate in the Great Kindness Challenge in January. We will teach people about greeting others, holding a door, and listening to another’s ideas. Keep reading for more information!
