We have received our shipment of a dozen fertilized chicken eggs from Quiver Farm of Pennsburg, PA. courtesy of the Lincoln PTA. Farmer Aiden introduced the parents, Rooster Max and Hen Ruby, to our PreK3 class. Max and Ruby came to oversee that their eggs will be well cared for at Lincoln School. Ruby even laid an egg while visiting Lincoln!!
The numbered eggs are on the office counter in a 100 degrees temperature-controlled incubator. Students will be able to observe the incubation and hatching process first hand. After hatching in about 4 days and residing at Lincoln for about a week, the chicks will be returned to the farm to mature. Thank you, Lincoln PTA!!
