Ms. Clossey was teaching first graders about primary colors and dimension in art. Students mixed primary colors, painted paper and then cut out fall leaves from the painted paper. This is similar to the technique Eric Carle used when he illustrated his famous books. Students crumbled paper to create texture and dimension.
