Lincoln School’s second grade students participated in an Election Unit during the beginning of November. Students took a survey to narrow down their ideas on two important topics: longer recess or snack! Students created persuasive posters, wrote speeches about their desired topic, and created voting booths for election day. A Let’s Vote pep rally was held the day before election day, where speeches were presented, posters were hoisted, and a lively debate was held! On election day, November 9th, all grade 2 students stepped up to the voting booths and cast their electronic ballots. By an overwhelming margin, longer recess won!
