Lincoln School had a fun-filled ending. Teachers were still integrating learning activities up until the last days of school. For example, Ms. DeBouter’s class explored physics while designing their own roller coasters made from pipe insulation. Ms. Smith’s had two dancers from Ireland visit and teach the students how to use kinesthetic movements to express themselves in dance. There was even a dance off! Ms. Demirbulakli’s preschool class invited families to visit and see a small performance and the reading specialists had student perform a readers’ theatre for the preschool. Ms. O’Donnell, the Director of Technology, visited the third graders to see their technology projects and some first graders celebrated their writing with their invited guests. Finally, the year concluded with the Lincoln community saying good-bye to our third graders who walked the red carpet as they left our building. Third graders may be on their way to Pierrepont, but they will always be part of our Lincoln family. Have a great summer!
