Ms. Monochello’s 3rd grade class was inspired by Yo-Yo Ma, world famous cellist, when they read the book Yo-Yo Ma: World Musician by Lou Ann Walker. Yo-Yo Ma believed, “music can act as a magnet to draw people together.” This inspirational quote sparked an idea with Ms. Monochello’s class. They wanted to make their own instruments! With the help of Silly Gilly, the students made fancy kazoos and had a parade around the school to share their music. It was a hoot!
