Students in Ms. DeLuca’s class desperately wanted another class pet. (They currently have a couple of fish). Dr. Velechko thought about the book I Wanna Iguana by Karen Kaufman Orloff, which she read quite often with her son. I Wanna Iguana is a book filled letters back and forth between a child and his mother as the two parties negotiate getting an iguana as a pet. Here are a couple of the letters Dr. Velechko received.
