Welcome to the full-time Kindergarten Center at 109 Sylvan Street! Whether this is your first or last child entering kindergarten, it is a significant milestone in your child’s educational career.
In order to assist you in the transition to the Kindergarten Center, there will be a Kindergarten Parent Orientation on June 3rd at 7 p.m. in the Lincoln school gym off Vreeland Avenue. This meeting is for adults only. At this orientation you will be introduced to our new Superintendent, Jack Hurley, and receive information about the Kindergarten Center’s programs and procedures, health documentation and curriculum. Mrs. Considine, our school nurse, will guide you through the medical entrance requirements and some Kindergarten teachers will discuss the kindergarten curriculum. We will share information on hours, lunch, arrival, dismissal and special classes. The YMCA will also join us to discuss before and after care and the RPD will review parking and traffic requirements. Finally, parents will hear about events, funding and ways to volunteer from the Kindergarten Parent-Teachers’ Association (PTA).
We look forward to welcoming back returning families and greeting our new friends on June 3rd at 7 p.m. at the Lincoln School Gymnasium at 414 Montross Avenue. Parents may enter the gym on Vreeland Ave near the playground.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the school.
