The School Climate Committee hosted a poster contest at each grade level. Students were encouraged to create a poster that captured the spirit of our school’s character development program. Each grade level winner received a certificate from the school psychologist and principal and a gift card for Barnes and Noble from the PTA. Many student posters were fabulous and it was hard choice to make.
Lincoln School has an extensive character education program that focuses on development of character and self-care. We taught students how to regulate emotions and be in the present. There were also ample opportunities to learn about positive personal traits. Students learned about specific examples and received guided practice to apply the traits in everyday situations.
