This month Lincoln School is focusing on the hard character trait-respect. Respect is a way of treating or thinking about something or someone. If you respect your teacher, you admire your teacher and treat your teacher well. People respect others who are impressive for any reason, such as being in authority — like a teacher or police officer — or being an elder — like a grandparent. We also teach you to respect “things,” as well as people. It is vital students spend time reinforcing skills.  The grade-level teachers have developed a “summer calendar” to review some topics.  RAZ-Kids accounts will be active all summer.  Please remember to review math facts and concepts presented from the year.  Erase the math workbook and start over. We celebrate National PTA Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week beginning May 5th.  I would like to publicly thank our teachers and staff members for all they do!  Our Lincoln staff has been exceptional in providing an educational program for children.  I am honored to call them colleagues. This month Lincoln School is focusing on the hard character trait- Zest.  Zest is not just a brand of soap! It is an enthusiasm and excitement for all that you do; a desire to be active and feel alive!
