Summer Enrichment Academy 2021
Registration is now open for the 2021 Summer Enrichment Academy. The program is open to students registered in the Rutherford Public Schools who will be entering Kindergarten through third grade in September 2021. Space is limited and on a first come, first served basis. Information about the program and registration forms can be found on the attached brochure. PreK Butterflies and Bees
Spring has sprung in preschool! Our preschoolers are kicking off a unit all about butterflies! Preschoolers will be learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. They will sequence the four stages of the butterfly life cycle – egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, and adult butterfly. Lastly, our preschoolers will make and record observations describing the shape, color, size, and movement of the butterfly as it goes through the stages. SEL (Some Extra Love) Day at Lincoln School
Students and teachers celebrated Some Extra Love day. We started off the day with a Mindful Moment presented by Ms. Clossey, which included yoga stretches. Teachers then guided students through various projects: giving heart, self-portrait, read-alouds, games, etc. Students created cards to send to the members of the KIPP Center. Students in Grade 3: Ms. Kochan’s class participated in the yoga Mindful Moment and Mrs. Mayfield’s class played games and other fun activities.
