Celebrating the Holiday Season
Ms. Janine Smith delighted her speech students, as well as anyone who saw her that day, when she dressed as a blue dreidel. Ms. Valente’s class finished a unit on Hanukkah. A student brought in a menorah he made in Hebrew School and explained how his family lights it, as well as why he put certain symbols on the base. Another student who also celebrates Hanukkah helped demonstrate. The first grades explored the customs surrounding Las Posadas, the nine-day Mexican celebration from December 16-24th.
