Thanks to a grant by the Rutherford Education Foundation, Lincoln School will be hosting Lunch Bunch Book Club for students in grade three. Here’s how it will work. Students will receive a book one month prior to the meeting. Meetings will be listed on the Google calendar. On the day of the meeting, we will enjoy some lunch together, while discussing the books that we read. I cannot think of a better way to spend lunch! Lincoln Woods Update
As the first phase of the trails nears completion, the landscape contractor has made great progress. In order to prepare the ground for excavation, trails were marked and a 6-8” layer of wood chips were placed on top of the prepared ground to make the area safe. The Shade Tree Committee then added temporary demarcation roping to make the trails visible. Halloween
It’s about that time again...time for the Ghouls & Goblins to roam at Lincoln School! We have a few helpful hints to make sure that our upcoming Halloween parade is fun & safe. If possible, have children go home for lunch to change into their costumes. Please return the permission slip Halloween Permission Form to the teacher by Monday, October 27th. Remembering Everyday Heroes
The students at Lincoln School, Rutherford, joined a nation wide campaign on September 11 by participating in Operation Goody Bag. The students wrote letters to the First Responders in Rutherford thanking them for their service and dedication to the community of Rutherford. Many of the students expressed their feelings of safety due to the actions of the First Responders.
