The PTA purchased tulip, crocus and daffodil bulbs for each student in our school. Students planted these bulbs at the end of October with the intention of beautifying our school in the spring. Teachers turned this into a learning opportunity by teaching about bulbs, needs of plants and some elements that may cause our bulbs not to sprout. Students needed to measure the depth of the holes and distances between the bulbs. Some students giggled when they discovered a worm or learned to use a trowel for the first time. We cannot wait to see our school in the spring!
