This month Lincoln School is focusing on the hard character trait- Open-mindedness. We want the children to learn to be tolerant of ideas, culture, people, foods, and experiences. The students may not always agree with one another, but they can learn to listen, summarize and maybe even reflect on a different perspective. This month Lincoln School is focusing on the hard character trait- Optimism.  We want the children to learn to find the positive side of life. Research shows that people who are optimistic are healthier and have better coping strategies. At school we will be discussing how to find the goodness in a situation, learning that even rough times will pass, and seeing there may be a way to solve a problem.
