Dear K Friends, The teachers and maintenance crew have been working diligently to get everything ready for the start of school tomorrow. As with any construction project, there are still some 'punch list' items that need to be addressed tonight so we need to cancel the Sneak-a-Peek. It is hard to believe the summer is winding down! Make sure you enjoy these last weeks making memories and spending time together. I sent the children letters welcoming them back to the 2014-2015 school year and informing them of their teacher. If you do not receive this letter by August 25th, please call the main office. First Days of School Information
Arrival/ Dismissal Students will enter through the gym door facing Vreeland Avenue or through the side door, which faces West Pierrepont Avenue between 8:10 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. The drop off lane will be available on Vreeland Ave. and Montross. Please note this new drop off lane as recommended by the RPD. Promoting Summer Engagement
Many parents ask me how they can keep their children's skills on grade level over the summer. I strongly encourage parents to have their children do some academic work 30-40 minutes a day for five days a week. Parents should not have young learners complete work all at once, but break it into sections. I try to infuse skills into my son's everyday activities.
