Happy Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week!
Happy Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! The staff of Lincoln School was welcomed this morning by a huge sign on the front lawn expressing thanks to the teachers and staff. The PTA also provided some breakfast treats to kick start this week of acknowledgement. We are so fortunate to have a fantastic staff at Lincoln!!! Thanks to the PTA for recognizing the efforts of this tremendous group!
Second Graders Introduced to Coding
In Ms. LaSpisa's 2nd grade, students learned all about computers and were introduced to basic coding thanks to some parents who came in to teach the topics. In one activity, the students had to program how to draw a letter. The students had to give clear instructions in order to have Mr. Moore draw the letter correctly. Then, the students created a Dance to Codes activity where the students came up with a dance move assigned to each shape. 2nd Grade Learn Planting Skills
The second grade took a trip to Richfield Farms. The students toured the farm and went on an I SPY adventure. Students looked for things found on the farm, such as a Bobcat machine, tractor, strawberry plants, and a greenhouse. The students even met Babe the Cat and the Byrne's family dog, Cody. Finally, the students learned all about planting and how to transfer a plant. The students put their planting skills to the test by transferring vegetables and herb plans into our second grade garden.
