In a world filled with so many “things”, it is often difficult for children to appreciate all they do have such as a place to live, food, clean water, friends, and family.
At the Kindergarten Center, we promote an Attitude of Gratitude all year long, appreciating moments of successes no matter how big or small. Gratitude is taking a moment to reflect on how lucky you are when something good happens.
To help promote an Attitude of Gratitude at home consider writing a thank you note or creating artwork for someone you or your family is grateful for, or take a moment to share a positive moment in your day that made you happy. Donating time, food, or clothing are also great ways to have children acknowledge how lucky they are and that they can play a part in helping those around them. To help support those in need, the Kindergarten Center collected food for the Rutherford Food Pantry and are collecting mittens and hats during the month of December!
