To help prepare for the start of kindergarten, information has been sent home regarding sign up for the “Kindergarten Fun Visits” and parent questionnaire. Please check your email. All correspondences will be emailed with the most relevant information to the start of school shared in late August. In the meantime, all are encouraged to explore the following linked resources:

‘New’ Kindergarten Parent Orientation was held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. The following was shared:
- 8:30-8:45 drop off via drop off line or walk up. Pick up is at 2:35.
- Lunch:
- Purchased through the school contracted lunch program
- (Information to be shared in August)
- Purchased through local vendors via PTA.
- (Information to be shared in Aug/September for October start)
- Brought from home in containers that are able to independently be used. Lunches are not heated and all utensils etc. are to be sent with them.
- Bring to school daily:
- Lunch box -Snack time snack and lunch (if not ordered)
- Refillable water bottle
- Backpack (large enough to hold a folder and lunch box inside)
- Folder/Notebook (determined by teacher)
- BulldogCare – Before and after school care. Registration opens June 10.
- Prepare your child for kindergarten by supporting their social and emotional growth. Teach them the skills needed to be successful and support their journey towards independence. Opportunities for growth include:
- Self-help skills
- Self-care, dressing, opening and closing containers
- Communication skills
- Recalling and stating personal information such as name, parents’ names.
- Reciprocal language- listening and speaking.
- Expressing needs-Requesting to use the bathroom or need a drink of water. Advocating that something happened or they have a problem.
- Social/Emotional skills- Increasing frustration tolerance, turn-taking, losing a game, playing a game a different way, waiting (in general).
- Self-help skills
