As Mother’s Day approaches in the United States, kindergarten students are learning about a similar holiday celebrated in South Korea. 어버이 날 (Eobeoi Nal) is South Korea’s Parents’ Day that honors mothers and fathers. Instead of a separate Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, Korean Parents’ Day is celebrated annually on May 8th. Students decorated individual flower pots that they will bring home with a flower (donated by the PTA) as a token of love to bring home to someone special this weekend!
