During this experience, students made daily observations, looking for cracks and listening for “peeps” from within! This week all 12 hatched and watching the hatching process was amazing! In just a few days the chicks have grown so much but we said goodbye to them on Friday and they are now back at the farm! 🐓🐓
Did you know that the chicks have an egg tooth? The egg tooth is a tiny horn-like projection at the tip of the upper beak that they use to break the shell of the egg to 🐣 hatch!
