Apples, apples , and more apples. Kindergarteners have been busy counting apples, comparing apples, dissecting apples, hearing tales of Johnny Appleseed and some even created a delicious treat of homemade applesauce! Happy Fall!
Students at the Kindergarten Center are embracing the beautiful colors of fall through crafts. Not only was this project fun, but by crumpling the tissue paper, rolling on the glue, and adding the "leaves" to the tree, children were building the muscles in their hands, an important factor in fine motor development.

September is Hunger Action Month and The Bergen County Food Security Task Force is eager for the children of Bergen County to be an integral part of that action. The county is sponsoring their first countywide cereal collection drive and “domino” competition. The Kindergarten Center will work together with the Task Force to collect as many cereal boxes as possible to donate to local food pantries to ensure that everyone in our community has nutritious and adequate food on their shelves.
