Just a few reminders for back to school:
- Please have your child wear their name tag through 9/15. This helps us to ensure they get to their classroom easily. All children need a spare set of clothing. If you have not sent it in, please be sure to do so in a labeled, ziplock bag.
- Drop off is between 8:30 and 8:45. All students enter through the lobby doors. The drop-off lane runs up Highland Cross and extends the full length of the school on Sylvan. This is indicated by cones. Students are to exit once the car is stopped on Sylvan Street in the lane. Please do not stop and wait to pull up to the front of the school. Students are to exit along the entire front of the building. Staff is there to ensure their safety entering the building.
- Parents who are walking their children to school are asked to not bring family pets and/or to be sure they do not interfere with the sidewalk in the front of the school during arrival or on school property during dismissal.
- Parents must supervise their child (children) while they are on school property. Safety is a priority. No standing on the climbing rock or jumping off any playground equipment or the wall. No pushing or shoving. No throwing. These rules will be reviewed daily throughout the month. Bulldog Care utilizes our outside space starting at 3:00 on a daily basis. Please be sure to exit the property prior to their start time.
- Please be sure to pack a nut-free daily snack for snack time and bring a refillable water bottle.
- Students have 3 lunch options:
- Order school lunch service in advance using Payforit.net. Ordering information is sent home via email from the district. Please remember to click Lincoln School when ordering for the Kindergarten Center.
- Send a child a lunch daily (we do not heat lunches and all utensils etc must be provided).
- Order through the PTA. The PTA uses an online ordering system (Boonli) and information regarding this will be shared in the next few days from the PTA. This option will begin in October.
- Dismissal is 2:35. Students are dismissed from various locations:
- Mrs. Kratzer and Ms. Sayre – Lobby Doors, Sylvan Street
- Ms. Ruglio and Ms. Ketcho – Center Silver Doors, Sylvan Street
- Mrs. Witalis and Mrs. Rim – Playground Doors (Highland Cross)
- Ms. Coccoz and Mrs. Parkinson – Silver Doors behind the school.
- If your child is going to be absent, please email, kcenterattendance@gmail.com or call the main office. The Kindergarten Center does have an attendance policy and if exceeded, may impede student promotion to grade 1.
- Any emergency changes should be directed to the main office, Mrs. Liz Rizzi, however, all other changes should be made prior to the start of the school day via email or a letter to the teacher.
- If your child attends Bulldog Care, please be sure to contact your child’s teacher AND Bulldog Care regarding any changes including absences. Bulldog Care drop off and pick up is done via the Multipurpose Room doors behind the school, closest to Highland Cross.
