Kindness Rocks
To celebrate the beginning of the new school year, as well as to commemorate Patriot Day which took place on September 11th, Mrs. Manocchio and Mrs. TIffner's 6th grade homerooms took part in the Kindness Rocks Project. The students discussed how small acts of kindness can have a significant positive impact on our school, community, and world. The students also talked about what it means to show good character and practice empathy towards others. Congratulations to the 2019 Distinguished Graduate winner, Ms. Laura Battista. Ms. Battista graduated from RHS in 1990 and is now a US Army Product Director. Important Dates for Bond Referendum Info and Voting
Rutherford students would be positively impacted by the One Rutherford plan on the Sept. 24 ballot. We value the input of all residents in this community, and so we’re urging people to learn about the proposal and take time to vote. This plan includes classrooms and instructional space to serve an increasing number of students – more than 250 of them over 10 years. It would renovate high school science labs that are almost 50 years old, and add them at Union Middle School where none exist.
