Superintendent Jack Hurley was named Bergen County Superintendent of the Year by the Bergen County Association of School Administrators. Mr. Hurley received the award at the BCASA’s May 9 meeting. Mr. Hurley has been Superintendent of Rutherford Public Schools since 2014. He started his RPS career in 1977 as an English teacher, and was assistant principal and then principal of the high school before being appointed to his current role. 2024 RUTHERFORD SUMMER MUSIC SCHOOL   The Rutherford Summer Instrumental Music School will once again be offered this  summer for all students entering grades 4 through 9 in September 2024. Class Orientation   Day will occur on Monday, July 8th, at 9:00 AM in the Rutherford High School Band Room 108. Instructional lessons will take place from Tuesday, July 9th, through Friday, July 26th. This year marked the 54th anniversary of Earth Day!  Kindergarteners participated in a school wide planting coordinated by our PTA.  Students were actively involved in the planting process, while also learning about the different needs of plants, the difference between annual and perennial plants, and the role plants play in our ecosystem!  We appreciate the hard work of our students and PTA!  This gift will continue to flourish for years to come! … [Read more...] about Earth Day 2024
