All parents/guardians are invited to join us for Washington School’s Annual Thanksgiving Parade on Wednesday, November 27 at 8:45.
We are excited to invite you to join us for our Thanksgiving Day Parade and Assembly. We would be delighted to have our families come together as we express our gratitude and share in the spirit of the season.

- Location: Parade will be outside. Assembly will take place in our gym
All of our students will march with their teachers in the parade and some will perform during our assembly program in our gym (parents/guardians are invited to attend). If we experience inclement weather, the parade portion of the event will be held indoors.
The children will exit the building through the triple doors and parade (one lap) along the blacktop and sidewalk as they did for our Halloween Parade. Our “commentators” will introduce individual floats as they pass the “reviewing stand”. Families can view the parade on the lawn adjacent to Washington Avenue or on the grass area of the sidewalk to give room for our students as they parade on the sidewalk and walking path.
We hope you can join us in celebrating the joy of the season.
FOOD DRIVE—As we head toward the holiday season, the Rutherford Food Pantry is in need of donations. We ask that each family bring at least one non-perishable item of food to our Thanksgiving program (please see list below of what is needed). The pantry can not accept out-of-date items, frozen food, produce, or clothing. Boxes for donations will be on the blacktop for you to drop off your donations.

*** The Rutherford Food Pantry does not need canned soups or canned vegetables for this season
