The school year is well underway, and it has been wonderful to see our students settling into routines and thriving at Washington School. This fall has already been filled with energy, learning, and community spirit.
We are excited for upcoming events such as the Walk for Washington, where students will join together to celebrate healthy habits while supporting our school. October will also bring the Book Fair, always a favorite tradition, along with themed Spirit Days that showcase our creativity and school pride. Students can look forward to our annual pumpkin decorating and the festive fall Holiday celebrations that make this season so special.
In addition to academics, students continue to grow in character and life skills. Each week, we explore a new Word of the Week, helping students reflect on values like respect, kindness, and responsibility. Our “State of the Week” fun facts have sparked curiosity. We are also practicing executive functioning skills in our daily routines, whether it’s using good manners, greeting others, or walking safely in the hallways with self-control.
It has been inspiring to watch our students shine, showing school spirit, building friendships, and developing skills that will carry them far. Here’s to a fall season full of learning, growth, and smiles at Washington School.
