As we enter the winter months, Washington School is filled with excitement, tradition, and community spirit. We closed out November with our traditional Thanksgiving Parade, where each class designed its own creative “float” and proudly paraded outside for families to enjoy. This long-standing tradition continues to bring joy, creativity, and togetherness to our school community.
In December and January, Washington School will support the Rutherford Food Pantry through our winter donation drive. We encourage families to contribute if they are able—every item makes a meaningful difference.
Students will also have the chance to visit our Holiday Boutique, a favorite experience that allows children to shop for small gifts for family and friends before the holidays. Classrooms will be buzzing with festive learning as students engage in holiday traditions, hands-on activities, and seasonal lessons.
Trimester 1 will come to a close in mid-December, with report cards being issued shortly after. We look forward to celebrating all the hard work and growth our students have shown so far this year.
To round out the month, Washington students and staff will come together for our Celebration of the Seasons assembly and our spirited School Song Celebration, two annual traditions that bring warmth, music, and joy to our school.
As the temperature drops, Washington School stays warm with traditions, laughter, engaging lessons, and the spirit of togetherness.
I wish all of our Washington families a wonderful holiday season and a joyful start to the new year!
