Mrs. Valente’s 2nd grade class recently read a book entitled, The Arabic Quilt, An Immigrant Story, as part of their Advancing Literacy Program. They learned about the importance of culture and language. The class enjoyed the story and Mrs. Syed and her sister came in to help the students write their names in Arabic so they could create their own quilt.
