NEA’s Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss. On Monday, March 4th students from RHS visited Lincoln and led activities that highlighted Dr. Seuss’ work. Students also had guest readers from around the community. Students were visited by Town Council members, Board of Education trustees, EMT workers, Rutherford principals and supervisors, and town management personnel. The students looked like miniature Cat in the Hats as they sported red and white striped hat, and black and white clothes. It was a fantastic day! Don’t forget the words of Dr. Seuss, “You’re never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read with a child.”
