Ms.Risoli’s third grade reading group created projects to end their Titanic thematic unit. Students read informational text before reading Magic Treehouse- Tonight on the Titanic by Mary Pope Osborne. Students learned about historical fiction, non-fiction text features and the history of the Titanic. Ms. Risoli required students to compare and contract the different reading sources to be critical readers.
