It’s about that time again…time for the Ghouls & Goblins to roam at Lincoln School! We have a few helpful hints to make sure that our upcoming Halloween parade is fun & safe! Make sure to return the attached permission slip regarding your lunch arrangements.
Lincoln School Grades 1-3 and Mulrain/DeLuca K Students – If possible, have children go home for lunch to change into their costumes. Please return the attached permission slip to the teacher by October 24th. This will eliminate the need to sign out your children in the main office if they do go home for lunch. Students will exit out the afternoon DISMISSAL doors. Teachers will monitor that students are picked up. If children cannot go home for lunch, lunch aides will assist them in putting on their costumes.
STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO GO HOME FOR LUNCH TO CHANGE INTO COSTUMES. THERE WILL BE ONLY ONE LUNCH PERIOD THIS DAY TO ASSIST YOU IN DRESSING YOUR CHILDREN.
ALL STUDENTS WILL HAVE LUNCH FROM 11:55-12:50pm.
When returning from lunch, all students should enter their morning door starting at 12:40pm. Students should not return before 12:40 p.m. Lincoln’s costume parade will begin at 1:30pm.
All preschool students should come dressed in costume for Halloween session.
Parade Time for Other Schools:
- Lincoln/Washington School: 1:30pm
- The Kindergarten Center: 2:05pm
In the case of rain, there will be no parade, only classroom parties. Children will make a craft in the classroom. Think sunshine!!!
REMINDER: Children should NOT bring any weapon-like props (i.e., guns, swords, etc.) to school. If you have any questions, please contact the office.
Lincoln Students will parade on Montross Avenue in front of the school. Rutherford Police Department will close the area for safety. Parents should line up on the sidewalks facing the street. Bring your camera!
