It’s about that time again…time for the Ghouls & Goblins to roam at Lincoln School! We have a few helpful hints to make sure that our upcoming Halloween parade is fun & safe!
Lincoln School Grades 1-3 – If possible, have children go home for lunch to change into their costumes. Please return the attached permission slip to the teacher by Thursday, October 25th. LES_Oct_Halloween_2018_PermissionSlip This will eliminate the need to sign out your children in the main office if they do go home for lunch. Students will exit out the afternoon DISMISSAL doors. Teachers will monitor that students are picked up. If children cannot go home for lunch, lunch aides will assist them in putting on their costumes.
STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO GO HOME FOR LUNCH TO CHANGE IN COSTUMES. THERE WILL BE ONLY ONE LUNCH PERIOD THIS DAY TO ASSIST YOU IN DRESSING YOUR CHILDREN. ALL STUDENTS WILL HAVE LUNCH FROM 11:55-12:50pm.
When returning from lunch, all students should line up in their morning spots in the gym. The morning arrival procedure on Pierrepont and Vreeland will start at 12:40pm. Students should not return before 12:40 p.m. Lincoln’s costume parade will begin at 1:30pm. In the event of rain, students will not parade and just have the class parties.
All preschool students should come dressed in costume for Halloween session.
The parade will be on the front of Montross. Parents should stay on the sidewalk. Once the parade is finished students will have parties/crafts in their classrooms. Think Sunshine!
