The third grader students in Ms. Cioffi’s, Ms. Monochello’s and Ms. Risoli’s reading classes studied the RMS Titanic. The students read non-fiction texts to build background knowledge of the ship and causes associated with its sinking. Students complemented their research by reading the historical fiction book Tonight on the Titanic. Students became engrossed with this topic and created interesting projects associated with the Titanic.
