As introduced in last month’s newsletter, this month Lincoln School is focusing on the hard character trait- Courage. You use courage when you are the first to try something. You use courage when you are frightened. You use courage when you learn something new or try something that is complex. Being brave enough to make mistakes and learn from them every single day, takes great courage. It does not mean you are fearless. It means that even though you have fear, you still try your best. It isn’t easy to have courage. It takes hard work, inspiration and passion. There is joy from being courageous. Courage needs patience and should be pursued. It isn’t that complicated. If you try your best in everything you do, every day you will find that you are living a life of courage.
“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.” — Brené Brown
