Honoring Those Who Serve
America’s White Table by Margot Theis Raven is a story about a special table set to honor American service members who are prisoners of war, missing in action, or have died in service. As a young girl named Katie helps prepare the table for her veteran uncle, she learns the meaning behind each item—like the empty chair, the lemon slice, and the white tablecloth—all symbolizing sacrifice, loss, and hope. Successful Lincoln School Art Show
The Annual Lincoln School Art Show last night was a great success. It is estimated well over 250 students and family members attended from 6-8pm. Artwork from PreK through third grade was displayed throughout the building. Ms. Clossey delighted students with an Eye Spy scavenger hunt to find hidden art supplies as they explored the galleries. Second Graders Take Walking Tour of Rutherford
Lincoln School second graders participated in a walking tour of the important places and architecture of Rutherford – past and present. Students and parents learned about the history of the Borough of Trees when they visited Borough Hall, the Rutherford Public Library, and enjoyed a cool treat at Dairy Queen before returning to school.
