Every month, the school focuses on a positive character trait. At the end of the month, teachers are asked to name a student or students who exemplified that trait that month. Letters are sent home and an "apple" is put on the Citizens of the Month tree in the hallway representing that students. The students participated in a Character Trait Poster Contest to share what was learned this year when the featured character trait that month was discussed. Character traits explored this year were: fairness, bravery, creativity, kindness, forgiveness, hope and zest. The committee selected 3 winners: Autumn Eng (Grade 1), Michael McCaugherty (Grade 2), and Ben Nora Smith (Grade 3). Bike Safety Presentation
EZ Ride’s Bike and Pedestrian Program came to Lincoln School for a presentation of information and tips to keep children safe while riding a bike. The presentation covered the correct way to bike on streets/distance between bikers, helmet correct fit, the Rules of the Road, hand signals, obeying traffic lights/signs and many other important topics for safe and enjoyable bike riding.
