In Ms. Catalano’s library class, the third graders took their creativity to new heights after reading Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet. Inspired by the story of Tony Sarg and the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, students designed and created their own colorful balloon characters. This hands-on activity brought the book to life, blending storytelling, art, and imagination as they celebrated the magic of creativity and tradition.
